Dream Job - What Is Your True Calling?

Why a dream job is good for everyone
To secure our livelihood and survive in the modern world, we can't avoid working. We spend most of our lives with our coworkers, and sometimes they literally watch us grow old; so why shouldn't we make that time as pleasant and enjoyable as possible? Instead of showing up at our workplace more frustrated every day, we should consider finding an employer we're happy to show up for again and again. That makes working life less of a grind and brings a lot more fun. If you want to do it right, don't pick the company that happens to have openings as your employer. We do much better when we focus on the company we truly want to work for with all our heart, regardless of whether it currently has positions advertised. Plenty of speculative applications have led to good positions at well-known companies.[caption id="attachment_126" align="alignright" width="300"]

How a dream job makes our lives easier
The constant negative attitude most of us associate with the word "work" is not only demotivating but also bad for our mental health. We take the first step toward a solution by turning one of our personal passions into a career. That way we devote ourselves entirely to something we also associate with a positive feeling outside the company. Paradoxically, the everyday definition of a dream job is one where you not only earn well and have pleasant working hours, but where your duties consist solely of things you enjoy doing. In an employment relationship, though, a certain amount of willingness to compromise is required. The alternative dream job would be self-employment in the field you want, where you can sometimes hand off the tasks you don't like, but in return you have to take on a high degree of responsibility: you are liable not only for your own actions but also for those of your employees. With careful hiring, though, being an entrepreneur can be turned into a dream job despite all the burdens. The most important thing on the way to a dream job as an employee is to be clear about a few points:
- What do you enjoy doing, and what are you willing to invest most of your life in?
- Don't waste time on companies you don't want to work for
- Tailor your application documents exactly to the company you're applying to
- Always bring a healthy amount of willingness to compromise and flexibility
