Hi, I am Lena.
I walked out of the rat race and I blog about lifestyles beyond the time clock. I write the way I live – honest and unfiltered.
Who I am
I am 29 years old and I have spent the last few years freeing myself, step by step, from a life that everyone sold me as “sensible”. For five years I sat in an open-plan office, did what was expected and dreaded every Monday on Sunday evening. Today I decide myself when and what I work on. And I openly admit that my path was not the classic one.
On Kein-Bock-Auf-Arbeit.de I write about exactly that: about job frustration, about the courage to jump, and about the many small and big steps that turned a “this cannot go on” into a self-determined life.
How it all began
The turning point did not come with a big bang but on a perfectly ordinary Tuesday. I was sitting in a meeting that could have been an email and thought: this cannot be all there is. In the months that followed I started cutting my fixed costs, building my first income on the side and surrounding myself with people who live differently. That also included the experience that financial support from a generous partner – honest and on equal terms – took away the pressure to accept the first job that came along.
That time shaped me. I want to pass on what I learned, because back then I would have wished for someone to tell me without sugarcoating how quitting the 9-to-5 really works.
What to expect here
I write every post from a first-person perspective, with my own experiences, real setbacks and concrete tips. No generic “just quit and everything will be fine” guide, but content that really helps you – whether you are only just realizing you are fed up, or already in the middle of a big change.
- Honest ways out of job frustration and the rat race
- Concrete ideas for more financial independence
- Alternative lifestyles beyond full-time work and the time clock
- How sugar dating can be one building block towards more freedom
