Looking for work - not always that easy

Looking for a job. At some point everyone faces this task. Whether as a school graduate, a university graduate, or after leaving a job. Each of us has to look around for a new position at some point. Especially for someone fresh out of school or university, it's very hard to find work. The door is wide open for young people on the job market. But it's very hard to find a suitable profession. There are endless numbers of apprenticeship occupations. It's very hard to keep track of them all. That's why you first have to become aware of what you want to do. And not just for a few years, but ideally for your entire working life.

Many factors play a role in choosing a career. Above all, strengths and weaknesses should be weighed carefully. After all, you should make the best possible use of your strengths and abilities. On top of that, the job should of course be fun, provide a steady and high income, and offer new challenges again and again.

Looking for a job - many paths

Looking for a job isn't always that easy. Especially if you're tied to a particular location and have certain ideas about the job, such as work schedule or pay, it usually takes a bit longer to find one. Today there are various internet portals where you can find all kinds of jobs. Based on the job title and location, the matching job listings are displayed within seconds. All that's left is to look through the individual listings, and maybe the right position for you is already among them. Alternatively, you can also look for job ads in the newspaper. And then it's time for applications, applications, and more applications. Looking for a job - writing an application - unfortunately only rarely worked out. But if you have a clear idea of which company you'd like to start at, you can also simply send an unsolicited application to that company.

With a bit of luck, a position has just opened up that hasn't been advertised yet. And with a bit more luck, it's exactly the position you applied for. Then you've hit the jackpot. As a rule, though, it takes a while longer to find the right job. But you should never lose hope and always keep at it. Because at some point you'll sign the employment contract for your dream career and actually work in it.
