Don't Feel Like Working? You're Not Alone!

Not feeling like working – you're far from the only one
Not feeling like working – who doesn't know that feeling? You're unmotivated, your job isn't any fun, or you're facing a task you really have no desire to do. These are situations we all know. Not all of us jump out of bed in the morning full of energy and in a great mood. Everyone has a bad day now and then and brings it along to work. Then you simply don't feel like working. It's perfectly understandable. But you have to pull yourself out of that mindset so the lack of motivation doesn't drag on all day or even for several days. Of course, it isn't easy to find enjoyment in your work. But it's definitely possible, and not all that hard.[caption id="attachment_217" align="alignright" width="300"]

How do you get motivated to work?
Not all of us feel like working every day. Especially after a long, lovely vacation, going to work is noticeably harder than after a weekend. But there are a few simple tricks to help you actually want to go to work. After a long vacation, there are a few things to keep in mind for your first day back so that it goes really well. A few days beforehand, you should slowly get used to the daily rhythm of a normal work week. That usually means getting up a little earlier and going to bed earlier. This helps you avoid starting your first day back totally exhausted and unmotivated. Alternatively, if possible, you can simply start work a little later. That only works if you have flexible working hours, for example. Pay attention to your choice of clothing, too. Ideally, you should wear something you feel good in and that is comfortable.A tight suit doesn't exactly boost your desire to work. Clothes you feel good in lift your well-being considerably. You should also bring food and drinks you really enjoy. If you don't feel like working and also have to watch what you eat, whatever little motivation you had left disappears too. So let yourself off the hook for a day and eat and drink whatever you really feel like. With a few simple tricks, you can overcome a low mood and start the work week with a bit more fun and motivation.
