Unhappy in Your Job? Time for a Career Change
Not everyone is lucky enough to be satisfied with their work. Not everyone chose their current job voluntarily. Maybe you just slid into it or chose your job because you didn't know what else you wanted to do. Don't think you're alone. Many people feel exactly the way you do. Because one day you're sitting at your desk and you just want to get out. You're listless and frustrated and don't even want to get up for work. You may think you have no other choice, but you do! You're not the only person who hates your job. Don't worry, there's always a new beginning, for everyone.
You have a choice!
If you're unhappy in your job, a career change would be exactly the right thing for you. Just give it a try. Actively look around at other careers and see what's possible. Try new things. Write down what you really like and what you really want to do. Ask yourself, "what makes me happy?" Maybe you have a hidden talent nobody knows about. Make a list of things you're good at or enjoy. Reorient yourself. You like writing? Then try an internship in journalism. Go actively looking for jobs and only do what you truly want to do.
Be brave!
It's not easy to leave the security of a permanent job. Don't worry, you don't have to quit headlong. Try it step by step. Look into other ways to earn money in your free time. Take some time off and think about your life and your current career and whether you're really happy. But it's important that you really make an effort to look for something new. If you get the chance, grab it. Because maybe you don't want to sit in an office selling real estate or trading stocks at all. Maybe you'd already be happier studying philosophy or simply becoming a teacher. Who knows, everyone has individual goals that make them content. But it's important that you break away from your current career, the one you don't like. Don't force yourself to do something you don't want to do. Don't trade satisfaction for security. You only have one life, so make something of it. You don't have to be a lawyer if you'd rather be a hairdresser, for example. Free yourself from your shackles and reorient yourself. Be happy and do what you want!
